Donnelly Praises Government Auditors, the "Unsung Heroes of Transparency"

Alison Fitzgerald Kodjak | February 22, 2019

When I became president of the National Press Club in January, I said I wanted our club members to become vocal advocates for open access to government information. Alison Fitzgerald Kodjak Inauguration Speech

Alison Fitzgerald Kodjak | February 4, 2019

It's really such an honor - and a little overwhelming - to be standing up here in front of all of you.

In 1939 Eleanor Roosevelt was the first woman to address the club.

And The Reverend Martin Luther King spoke here in 1962.

Which begs the question - what the heck am I doing here? But for tonight, let's just go with it.

Farewell, and Thank You

Jeff Ballou | January 16, 2018

Fellow members of the National Press Club,

A note to NPC members on Jan. 19th private client inaugural event

Jeff Ballou | January 23, 2017

Fellow members,

I've received some questions about the event that was held January 19 at the Club, a pre-inaugural rental characterized by the organizers as the Deploraball, and wanted to follow up with you. As you know, the Club has served as a venue for election-related events and parties for many years, held to celebrate incoming presidents from both parties.
